Bio:

Victoria Elizabeth, named after her great-great-great grandmother Victoria Elizabeth Harrington, was born to kill vampires. She never met her great-great-great grandmother for obvious temporal reasons (she died back in 1942), but young Victoria knew the story well. Her mother told it to her, as well as her mother before her. The first Victoria Elizabeth grew up in a modest home in the heart of London back in the late 1800’s. Life seemed pleasant. She was the oldest of four children. Her father was a respectable doctor and small business owner. Victoria was attending Queen’s College studying nursing like one of her heroes, Florence Nightingale. She had the ambition to work at the hospital where her father worked. Late one evening on a cold foggy autumn day, Victoria was returning to visit her family as she had a short holiday before her classes were to begin again. As she entered the front door, she found in horror her family in a ravaged mess dead on the floor. All but her sister Penelope were there dead. Penelope instead was found at the top the stairs. Blood was all over her face; her skin was pale and lifeless. Penelope lept with inhuman ability upon her naive older sister. The jolt from the pounce dislodged a silver cross worn as a necklace around Victoria’s neck. The sight of the cross was the only thing that spared Victoria’s life that day. Victoria later found out that her sister had succumb to the curse of the vampire. Because of the forsaken curse, Victoria was left alone that cold bitter day.

The elder Victoria spent some time in a sanatorium to recover from that horrible experience. Nobody believed her story. Once she was released, she returned to her studies at Queen’s College. She began utilizing the library resources there at the college to research about vampires. She soon found out that she exhausted their limited information. She dedicated her life to finding and collecting more information. This information today is contained in a family library owned by the D’argento Family.

The current day Victoria’s D’argento lineage runs back as far as the Roman Empire. At least this is as old as their first recorded history. The D’argento’s hold a long tradition as venerable vampire-hunters. So it was no coincidence that the elder Victoria Elizabeth soon crossed paths with a handsome young hunter of the Gardella family. Their union sealed the fate of all their descendants. Like I said, the current day Victoria Elizabeth was born to kill vampires.

This is the beginning of her story. She was born of the seeds of hate. It was this hate that led Victoria to change her path. Hate will drive a person to do incredible things, but Victoria’s hate was not her own. It was a sort of ‘borrowed hate’. Eventually, the vision of her great-great-great grandmother began to fade like a poorly kept photographic portrait. Hate is strong, but Love is stronger. Victoria…
