Bad Blood :: War of the Covens
Coven of the Wraith – True Vampire
Horror Factor: 16
A ruthless Wraith ninja assassin with no master. Kotaro has his own agenda.
While on a job to assassinate an Italian Cardinal, Niko created an alliance with a group of Capuccin monks who were linked with the Brotherhood of Light. They plotted to eliminate Kotaro. Niko led Kotaro into a trap. The monks killed Kotaro in an epic battle. They staked him in the heart, leaving the wood fragments in his chest. The monks placed his body in a coffin, and buried it beneath several feet of concrete underneath their catacombs. The catacombs were officially closed off from the public at this time so that no one would disturb his remains.
About a decade later, the monks were overrun by a group of the occult. This cult began to perform blood sacrifices. The blood from the sacrifices would drain down into the catacombs. The pool ran into a crack in the concrete (created during an earthquake). Unbeknownst to Niko and the remaining monks (who have been in hiding), Kotaro’s body continued to be fed even while he is in his Death Trance. This lasted for many decades until the cult was flushed out of the catacombs following World War II. Those who purged Rome of the paganists, begin to excavate the catacombs. When gold and other treasures were found within the halls of the catacombs (left by grieving family members in honor of their dead), two competing acheological teams sped to the excavation. One night, in the shroud of a pale moonlit sky, Sir Wilson Churchill Babington (son of Rev. Churchill Babington, later disowned from this subsequent scandal) rashly unearthed the concrete slab and coffin underneath. It was noted in his excavation log of the blood stains running down the crack…nothing else was recorded after that. Sir Babington and his dig team were never seen again.
